The source material for “Variation 1” are two-color silk-screen prints from the book “Konzept I.” The first poem used in this book, from the cycle “L’Homme Machine Bleue” by Ernst Meister, is once again letterpress printed on the material in black. The text, broken down into sections of two to four words, is positioned on the right side in the middle of each page.
