This accordion consists of photographs of Roman amphora bases, all of them fragments of ancient storage and transport containers found in the Mediterranean Sea. Among other things, amphorae were used for storing wine. Selected sentences from Grimms’ Fairy Tales containing the word “Wein” [wine] are compiled into a text collage and printed on the photographs. The quotations come from the following fairy tales: The Three Little Men in the Woods, The Golden Goose, The Three Snake-Leaves, The Ravens, The Six Servants, The Shoes that were Danced to Pieces, The Two Brothers, Bearskin, The Singing Bone, The Young Giant, Strong Hans, The Drummer, The Devil and His Grandmother, The Devil With the Three Golden Hairs, Snow White.
