The theme here is a dance performance, with a table in front of a wall. The camera is fixed on a tripod, which not only allows the background to be in focus while the dancer, Ulrike Stoltz, is blurry, but also ensures an identical image frame. The actress explores the boundaries of this frame. Her actions take place in the center, at the edges and outside the image format. In each photograph, the time exposure causes light, time, positions and situations to accumulate. This layering renders the dancer’s movement sequences visible. The use of translucent paper creates an additional layering of the images – the actress’s movement and the table – within the space of the book.
