The source material comes from offset wastepaper prints from the book “Atlantik Mann” [Atlantic Man]. An excerpt from the text by Marguerite Duras is printed on this material in 10-cicero wood type letters. The full-page printing of the black text blocks covers the pages all the way to the edges and bars the view of the offset-printed background. The narrow book format does not leave room for more than three or four of the large wood type letters side by side, so words are separated into pieces (not syllables).
