This accordion is a collaboration with Peter Malutzki. The text “Unser Landschaftsbericht” [Our Landscape Report] by Peter Rosei, a description of a surreal landscape, is printed over original photographic prints. The photographs show body parts of naked men and women, which meld into a “body landscape” in the accordion – with a “night landscape” on one side of the accordion, consisting of positive prints of the photographs, and a “day landscape” on the other side, consisting of contact prints of the positive photographs. Peter Malutzki places letterpress printed figures over these “body landscapes.” The figures are printed using letterpress printing materials such as polymer plates, brass rules and various type materials.
